All the snow in my yard has finally melted! (The final tiny spot melted on March 31st but it snowed the next day – which I actually think was mother nature’s nice way of saying “Oh, no you din’t!” to people.) Unfortunately, my husband’s tree suffered an injury because the snow was so heavy. Ironically it survived being completely covered by snow and bent to the ground for several months; but the April 1st snowfall took out the top branch.
Aside to Mother Nature: You might not have realized that the tree you overloaded with snow was my husband’s precious American chestnut tree. Do you remember those? The trees that used to cover the northeast? The ones that are ALMOST extinct! Yeah, MN that’s the tree you tried to take out. That is what we people like to call cutting off your nose to spite your face.
I hope the April Fool’s Day snowfall was worth it.

Isn't it crazy! I mean it's April. Argg.
Me too. The last bit of snow melted around here - 50,000 years ago.
You like to rub things in don't you?
