Sometimes I feel the need to announce things because I fear the world will stop unless it has a moment to prepare for my absence or hunger or indecision. (Or in this case head pain.) I consider it public service. You’re welcome.
Sometimes I also say “GUESS WHAT?” when I think of something. It use to shock Marcy but my husband told her that she’d get used to it. Since she hasn’t said anything about my proclivity to use that particular phrase I think that’s true.

I'm sorry you have a headache. My sinuses aren't too bad for once, but I feel disgusting since my son was up at 5 am and then I fell back to sleep and didn't wake up until 8:20am and had to rush around to get him to school and me to work on time and had no time for a shower.
Ah, feels good to tell someone!!!
Guess where you got that?
Is it weird to ask "guess what"? It must be a family thing...
My preferred response is "No idea". If you were to say it to my husband, he would probably just look at you not saying a word. I think he thinks words cost money and he doesn't want to waste any.
Guess what? I have gas. You're welcome.
Don't we all feel better now we've announced something?
