So camp has not been an option for us in years.Big Daddy Autismhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03435868024371083375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8658455529906475948.post-42827214753201716872011-02-18T06:29:06.023-05:002011-02-18T06:29:06.023-05:00I don't know Will, but we did this last summer...I don't know Will, but we did this last summer. 'Bot was all excited to go to camp until the night before. He got nervous, but we made him go. The first day was rough. He refused to do any of the activities other than swimming. He threw such a tantrum over showering that he had to be carried to his bunk and put to bed. I wouldn't talk to him on the phone because I knew that would make it worse. On day two, he participated, but kept asking for me, so they let him call before dinner. He decided that swimming was more important than talking to me, as long as the counselor promised to tell me when I could come get him. By the last day, he was proud to show us around camp. The medal he got at the end has a place of honor in his bedroom, and he is already pestering me about when camp will be this year.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08563221196810868202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8658455529906475948.post-29433790330055471572011-02-17T20:10:24.145-05:002011-02-17T20:10:24.145-05:00Oh, I don't think I'd ever begin to advise...Oh, I don't think I'd ever begin to advise you on that. If your William can talk and express his needs well, then that would make a big difference in a decision like that.

If he goes, I can't wait to hear how he did!

Best of luck!Betsy Brockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807795605763246015noreply@blogger.com
